Hey What’s Up Everybody… As the Nets & Devils struggle to make the 8 seed of the playoffs. The Mets & Yankees conceive a 500 plus season. My only other thoughts are on the rebuilding of the Jets. With the 6th pick in the upcoming draft April 30th-May 2nd. Gang Green my have what they think is another franchise QB in Oregon’s Marcus Mariota. His former coach Chip Kelly is now leading the Philadelphia Eagles who missed the playoffs last year with a 10-6 record. The Eagles were third in points scored, behind only Denver & Green Bay. QB’s Nick Foles returns from injury & former Jet Mark Sanchez is slated as his back up. The Eagles have the 20th pick in the draft and Kelly may be interested in trading up to get his former Oregon no-huddle system QB. The Jets need to score more points to be competitive, and there are to many needs on Defensive side of the ball to fix in one year. So lets put this scenario in play…the Jets trade the sixth pick to Philly for Foles, the 20 pick & their 2nd round pick. GM Mike Maccagnan goes out and signs one of the three top OG Mike Iupati, Orlando Franklin, or Clint Boling. With the Jets 20th pick RB Melvin Gordon/Georgia or Todd Gurley/Wisconsin . The 2nd round picks they could concentrate on Corners or Linebackers and strengthen the second & third level of the Defense. With this Draft, Trade & Free Agent singing the under performing Jets could field a more potent Offense than 2014. Returning WR’s Decker & Harvin, pass catching TE Amaro & RB Ivory return as starters. With the upgrade of the OL & addition of Foles/QB & Rookie RB draft surprise. The Jets may make the playoffs this year, I hope.
